JOAN MILLER PORCELAIN / HEADPIN GIVEAWAY

Last weekend was the Intergalactic Bead show in Pompano Beach, Florida.  I had a wonderful show!  Thank you ladies for coming by and saying hello and even bringing me snacks to keep me going.  You guys are amazing!  I also had a little giveaway during the show and the name I picked out of the basket was, Athena Defeo.  Congratulations!

You wouldn't believe who I met at the show!  I was so excited when I saw her name posted as one of the vendors for the show.  I got to meet Joan Miller of Joan Miller Porcelain.  If you haven't seen her work please head over to her Etsy shop and take a look.  The detail of her pieces will blow you away.  I fell in love with a Dragonfly focal of Joan's and she was so gracious as to trade beads with me.  This is the beautiful piece I received.

Can you believe the details!  I love my dragonflies!

I worked on some new things this week for the Etsy shop.  I had several special orders I had to finish this week so I worked on those first.  Here are some new things I posted.

This was a special set for a customer which has sold but I can make more as a special order.  I do have another acorn currently listed on Etsy.  I had a pair of the Sahara beads listed but those sold.

Sand Dollar Set

I've been making lots of large hole beads to fit the Pandora, Biagi, Etc.  bracelets lately.  I know some customers are just sliding them through leather or chain to finish a simple necklace.

This is a Regaliz Leather bead called Aztec Treasures.

These are large hole slider beads.  I like to use these to slide over finished Viking Knit bracelets or necklaces.  The work great as links, over thick leather, ribbon, etc.  The hole is approx. 7mm

I had some customers come into the studio during the season looking for beads to fit through their own hoops.  The bead used for the Pandora Style beads was a little too big and heavy to use so I came up with these little bead sets to embellish your own hoops.  I call them "HOOP LOOPS".  I'll have different colors and styles posted on Etsy.  Here are just a couple of the colors.

This was a special order for one of my wonderful Etsy customers this week.  I don't do much encasing these days but I do love how they turned out.

A LITTLE GIVEAWAY
MOUSE WITH LITTLE RED BOW

To win a pair of these little gunmetal mouse headpins let me know the name of a Art Bead/Jewelry Artist you've currently discovered who you just love their work.  I will pick a winner next Saturday, October 6th.

GOOK LUCK!

ENJOY YOUR DAY,

RAIDA

  2. Wow! That dragonfly bead is stunning! I love seeing all your wonderful creativity, and I think I need to put some of those on my wish list! I was lucky enough to participate in this month's AJE challenge, so I received a button charm from Diana of Suburban Girl Studio. Her work is exquisite, and her attention to detail matches yours. Have a wonderful weekend!
