HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS

As it gets closer to Christmas I begin my Santa madness time.  I love making these little guys, they all have their own personality.  No two are ever exactly the same.  At the Intergalactic bead show Frosty was actually more popular than Santa.  I sold out of Frost and I also sold out of these turkey beads I made for Thanksgiving.  I even sold the turkey bracelet to a lovely customer that I took as a sample. Yeah!  Anyways, here are some pictures of some of the beads I listed this morning.  The Santa's were a special order for a wonderful customer of mine so those aren't available.  I have another set listed on Etsy you can check out.

LOVE PICASA PHOTO EDITING

These are some new lampwork earring pairs I listed this morning on Etsy. I have to tell you about collaging with Picasa. Picasa is a free photo editing software. I'm just learning how to use it and this is my first collage. I was on Art Bead Scene last month and Lorelei Eurto had a tutorial on how to do these collages on Picasa. THANK YOU LORELEI! NEW BEADS ON ETSY

Slowly I'm starting to list my new beads on Etsy.  I'm still pretty tired from the show this weekend.  The show went really well and I met a lot of great jewelry designers.  Hi guys, thanks for stopping by my table!  Here are some of the new listings.

MICHAELS BEAD CHALLENGE

A couple of weeks ago Lorelei posted a Michael's bead challenge.  Everyone that wanted to participate purchased the same beads from Michael's and on Sunday, October 17th we would all share our creations.  We were allowed to use two additional beads and a focal bead.  My additions were the large brass chain and the red agate.  I used one of my large floral lampwork beads for the focal.  To see everyone's creations head over to Lorelei's blog where she has all the links posted.  Well I'm off to the Intergalactic bead show this morning.

SNEAK PEEK

Here's a sneak peak of some of the beads and jewelry I've been working on for the past two weeks for the Intergalactic Bead Show this weekend.

FALL SEASON GIVEAWAY

I love the fall season in Florida.  It's not really the traditional Fall season that everyone expects, but to us 70-80's during the day and maybe high 60's at night is truly wonderful.  I made these pumpkin lentils for the Fall season and for Halloween.  They've been really popular so I thought I'd give a set away to my wonderful customers and readers.  Here is the set I'm giving away.

SILK RIBBON

I wanted to show you some beautiful silk ribbon I just purchased from Kas Beads and Ribbon.  I have two craft shows coming up and I want to make some new jewelry with my new enamel beads and ceramic pendants.  It's sometimes really hard to match colors on the Internet.  You order something to match beads you already have and they arrive and the color is all wrong.    These three colors I ordered from Kas where perfect.  Just what I thought I would receive.  Kas sells her ribbons on her website Kas Beads and Ribbons and she also has an Etsy store at Kas Beads.

I ordered Autumn Pumpkin, Seal and Nutmeg.

I've been beading like a mad women to get my bins nicely stocked to prepare for the show.  I had a lot of request for lentils at the last bead show.   By Sunday afternoon the picking was slim and my lentil bin looked pretty empty.  Don't get me wrong, I was thrilled to sell the beads but felt bad for those that wanted more beads of a certain kind and there was only one or two beads left in a bin.  These beads have been soaking overnight and I'll start to clean them in a little while.  Hope to see you there.
