BEAD TRENDS NECKLACE AND NEW GOODIES ON ETSY

This month on Bead Trends I have a little necklace called "Woodland Path" which I made with my own etched copper owl focal.  I also used one of my little etched lampwork acorns in the necklace.  This issue is filled with wonderful inspirational designs.  My friend Cherrie Fick has a beautiful bracelet called "Love Birds" on page 94-95 and I'd like to send out a congratulations to Amanda Austin who made it on the cover, beautiful bracelet.  There is also a wonderful article by Lori Anderson called "Jewel School" with lots of information on stringing.

Now that the tourist season has died down, I had some time to take pictures of some of the jewelry I made for the studio and post it on Gentle Wind Designs on Etsy.  Lots of pictures today!

MOTLEY OWL BLOG HOP REVEAL

I was one of the lucky winners of one of  Erin Prais-Hintz of Simple Truths Motley Crew Owls which she gave to Lorelei and she in turn gave them to 5 winners.  This is what I created with my owl.  I used seed beads and freshwater pearls on one side and made a little loop that would accommodate my button.  On the other side I used more freshwater pearls and some of my sweet pea sparkle beads and finished it with a sterling silver hammered ring.  For the back of the necklace I used beautiful handmade silk ribbon by Silk Life Studio.  I finished this side with my own lampwork button and wrapped the silk with silver wire.  I hope you like him.  Check out the other owl designs through links at Lorelei's blog HERE.

MOTLEY CREW OWLS

NEW GOODIES ON ETSY

This week I worked on some new organic beads.  I made them in a round shape instead of the usual lampwork rondelle shape.  I'm in love with these two sets of beads!  They have so much depth and the colors are so amazing.  I hope you like them.
